Special Educational Needs (SEN) / English Support Teacher Posted 4 hours ago Norwich International School Bangkok is expanding and seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) / English Support Teacher to join our international school community as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be a native-level English speaker with a recognised teaching qualification and proven experience supporting students with a range of additional learning needs and English-language abilities. The successful applicant will be committed to inclusive education and passionate about helping every student develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging. The role The successful candidate will: Provide high-quality individual and small-group support for students with additional learning needs. Deliver targeted English-language support to students with a range of abilities and language backgrounds. Work closely with classroom and subject teachers to plan appropriate interventions and reasonable adjustments. Support students’ academic, social, emotional and communication development. Develop differentiated resources and personalised learning activities. Monitor, assess and record student progress accurately. Contribute to individual learning plans and review students’ targets regularly. Use a range of evidence-informed teaching and intervention strategies. Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, parents and external professionals where appropriate. Support students in developing confidence, independence, organization and self- advocacy. Promote an inclusive classroom and school environment in which all students can participate and succeed. Contribute positively to the wider life of the school. Essential requirements Applicants should have: A recognised teaching qualification. Native English proficiency. Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and/or English as an Additional Language. A sound understanding of inclusive teaching, differentiation and personalised learning. Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team. A caring, patient and flexible approach. A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing. Desirable experience The following would be advantageous: Experience working in an international-school environment. Experience supporting students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, speech and language needs or other learning differences. Experience delivering English-language interventions. Experience developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans or equivalent support plans. Knowledge of screening, assessment and progress-monitoring tools. Experience working with multilingual learners. Relevant qualifications or professional development in SEN, learning support, EAL or inclusion.
