Job Purpose Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Automation and IoT systems across CPF manufacturing operations. The role focuses on maintaining system reliability and availability throughout the system life cycle, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing preventive and predictive maintenance, and applying new automation and IoT technologies to improve production efficiency, reduce labor dependency, and enhance operational performance. The position will also collaborate with internal business units, technology partners, suppliers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable Automation and IoT solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs for Automation and IoT systems. Monitor system performance, availability, downtime, MTBF and MTTR , and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, inspection, and corrective maintenance for Automation and IoT systems. Support the installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of new Automation and IoT systems and technologies. Participate in the development and implementation of Automation and IoT prototypes and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies for CPF manufacturing operations. Analyze equipment and system performance and recommend solutions to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Prepare and maintain critical spare-parts lists, coordinate procurement, and monitor spare-parts inventory to ensure availability for maintenance activities. Prepare maintenance cost estimates and annual maintenance plans for Automation and IoT systems. Support the preparation and monitoring of maintenance budgets and identify opportunities for maintenance cost optimization. Coordinate with CPF business units, engineering teams, production teams, suppliers, System Integrators (SI), and technology partners to ensure effective system maintenance and project implementation. Establish and maintain relationships with Automation and IoT technology suppliers and partners to support system development, maintenance, spare-parts management, and technology improvement. Evaluate and recommend new Automation, IoT, and digital technologies that can improve production efficiency, reliability, and workforce utilization. Support the integration of Automation and IoT systems with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and other manufacturing platforms. Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to engineers, technicians, and relevant CPF personnel. Conduct technical training and develop maintenance knowledge and capabilities within the organization. Collect maintenance feedback, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities to support the design and development of future machinery and Automation/IoT systems. Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, project documentation, and presentations for management and relevant stakeholders. Ensure maintenance and project activities comply with relevant engineering, safety, quality, and company standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to Smart Factory, Digital Manufacturing, Automation, and IoT . Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Automation System Uptime MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) First Contact Resolution First Response Time Customer Satisfaction Score Maintenance Cost per Ticket PM/PdM Plan Achievement Automation System Downtime Reduction Qualifications Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in: Mechatronics Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Automation & Control Engineering Computer Engineering Robotics Engineering or other related engineering fields. Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Automation, IoT, Industrial Control, Digital Manufacturing, System Integration, or related fields . Proven experience in maintenance and/or project implementation of Automation and IoT systems. Experience in industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or production environments is preferred. Experience in system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance will be an advantage. Experience working with suppliers, System Integrators (SI), contractors, and technology partners is preferred. Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of Industrial Automation and IoT systems . Knowledge of Digital Manufacturing and Smart Factory technologies . Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and system integration . Knowledge of PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems . Understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication networks. Knowledge of Automation and IoT system maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvement. Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), MTBF, and MTTR . Understanding of data monitoring and connectivity between industrial equipment and IoT platforms will be an advantage. Technical Skills Ability to troubleshoot and analyze PLC, HMI, SCADA, Automation, and IoT systems . Ability to analyze equipment and system performance data and identify improvement opportunities. Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems will be an advantage. Experience with major PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley will be an advantage. Ability to support system integration, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Proficient in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, project proposals, and presentations. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , with the ability to conduct in-depth technical analysis. Strong planning, coordination, and project execution skills. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team. Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Ability to explain and transfer technical knowledge to engineers, technicians, and other team members. Adaptable and willing to learn and apply rapidly changing technologies. Proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, and results-oriented. Good presentation and communication skills. Customer-oriented mindset with strong service and support capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Professional engineering license or relevant technical certification will be an advantage. Training or certification in PLC, SCADA, HMI, IoT, MES, Industrial Automation, Smart Factory, or Industry 4.0 will be an advantage. Experience in food processing, manufacturing, automated production, or industrial facilities will be preferred. Good command of English , particularly for technical documentation, supplier coordination, and communication with technology partners. Willingness to travel to CPF factories and project sites as required.
