Shift Production Supervisor

About the role Planning, scheduling, coordinating and staffing of shift activities to meet the production targets and achieve the desired quality. The Shift In-charge will be responsible for managing all shift activities for the entire Hall/all machines. Key responsibilities Monitor and verify all shift activities including machine checking, IPQC (Dimensional and Attribute), FT change, DB change, Greaser Change, Colour change, daily machine performance report, and process parameters Implement quality corrections (Dimension correction, moisture correction, process parameters) to minimize defects and achieve the target DAFOE Ensure that all process parameters are in place for Colour Change (Checking of viscosity, temp, diplength, dipbath centrality and parallelity, Gelatin level) Check and ensure that the Viscosity norms are maintained whenever there is variation in weight and viscosity Monitor SCADA for process parameters and take corrective actions in cases of deviation Generate daily shift reports and communicate shift performance (productivity etc.) to support HOD/Incharge for decision making Ensure 100% SAP entries of Dips and Downtime for that shift Execute First Off in color change, right format filling, update color change board with special instructions and verify line clearance by call out method as per SOP to ensure FTR Coordinate with CFT in case of colour change, machine trippings, break down, machine downtime due to process parameters, cGMP and regulatory aspects Control excess and short production to control inventory and improve DAFOE/OTDIF; calculate and communicate the left over dip quantity of running batch to Gel room chemist for their planning Ensure all necessary material for the shift is available Communicate quality status to entire team to maintain consistent quality Execute uncut camera/laser sensor teaching during colour change Conduct shift handover and takeover Face observation audits in shifts Conduct daily shift opening meeting with team for shift planning
