Inbound Logistics (Customs Clearance) ( 1-Year Contract)

The analyst acts as the single point of accountability for inbound flow performance within the country. They partner daily with regional logistics, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL warehouse teams. The role sits at the intersection of operational execution and analytical insight — equally comfortable managing an exception on a delayed shipment and presenting seasonal-flow analysis to commercial leadership. KEY DELIVERABLES Inbound shipment tracking Maintain real-time visibility of all POs from origin booking through customs clearance and DC receipt, including container unstuffing, GRA and put away. Ensures 3PL adheres to agreed service levels and issues are escalated immediately to respective team members for corrective action. Lead time & OTIF reporting Produce weekly OTIF, lead-time variance, and carrier performance dashboards. Identify root causes of misses and track corrective actions to closure. Freight cost control Manage inbound freight accruals and invoice reconciliation against rate cards. Flag abnormal spend and support quarterly budget reviews (including Air Freights) Customs & compliance Coordinate with customs broker to ensure correct HS classification, FTA/COO compliance, and timely clearance. Maintain compliant import documentation. Seasonal capacity planning Translate seasonal intake calendars into inbound flow plans aligned to DC capacity windows and retail floor-set dates. Carrier & Freight Forwarder governance Run monthly service reviews with freight forwarders. Escalate SLA breaches and input into annual carrier RFQ and selection. Process Documentation Ensure that all processes/ systems transactions are properly documented and updated to reflect the latest functionalities and transactions are captured appropriately and documents updated accordingly. Systems Testing and Documentation Support all systems testing both SIT and UAT. Ensuring that all test scripts are up to date reflecting actual processes and transactions. Update and document test scripts accordingly. PREFERRED PROFILE - EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND 3-6 years inbound / import logistics in fashion, apparel, or consumer goods. Hands-on experience with freight forwarders and customs processes in-country. Requires Customs Specialist certificate. Exposure to multi-modal (sea / air express) trade-off management during seasonal peaks. Prior work within a brand or retailer with seasonal collection cadence (SS / AW). Experience with bonded warehouse or duty deferral schemes. PREFERRED PROFILE - SKILLS & TOOLS Advanced Excel comfortable building and owning operational trackers. Strong data interpretation - can move from raw carrier data to executive summary. ERP fluency (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) for PO management and GR processing. TMS or visibility platform experience (e.g. project44, Four Kites, or broker portals). Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for self-serve reporting. Good communication skills both in Thai and English.
