About the role Thai Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our Procurement and Inventory team based in Samut Sakhon . This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services essential to our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. As Purchasing Supervisor, you will oversee purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. This role is fundamental to maintaining operational efficiency, controlling costs, and supporting the company's strategic objectives in the pharmaceutical industry. Key responsibilities Manage purchasing activities for spare parts, production support materials, and project-related supplies both in domestic and international. Supervise and coordinate daily purchasing activities, including purchase order creation, processing, and tracking Manage relationships with suppliers, including vendor selection, negotiation of terms, and performance monitoring Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and quality standards Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to optimise stock management Prepare and analyse purchasing reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements Handle purchase requisitions from various departments and ensure timely processing and delivery Maintain accurate and organised records of all purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner Provide guidance and support to junior procurement team members Liaise with quality assurance and operations teams to ensure materials meet pharmaceutical standards and specifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience) 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity Strong knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain best practices Experience working within the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is highly desirable Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing Proven track record of cost control and process optimisation Thai Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our employees.
