Technical Specialist, Network & Security

About the role Eastech Systems Limited is seeking a Technical Specialist, Network & Security to join our growing team on a full-time basis . This role is based in Kowloon Bay, Kwun Tong District . As a Technical Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining, optimising, and securing our network infrastructure whilst ensuring seamless connectivity and data protection across the organisation. This position is strategic to our IT operations and directly contributes to the security posture and reliability of our business systems. Key responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems to support business operations Monitor network performance and conduct proactive troubleshooting to ensure optimal system availability and minimal downtime Manage network security protocols, implement security patches, and conduct regular security audits to protect against threats and vulnerabilities Configure and administer network access controls, including user authentication, authorisation, and firewall rule management Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users and internal teams for network-related issues Document network configurations, create technical documentation, and maintain up-to-date system inventories Collaborate with IT teams to plan network expansions, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements applicable to network operations What we're looking for Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or equivalent professional certification (such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified) Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network administration, systems administration, or network engineering roles Proficiency with network management tools, protocols, and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls Strong knowledge of network security principles, threat prevention, and security best practices Experience with enterprise-level network hardware and software platforms Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team Familiarity with monitoring and management tools such as network performance analysers and SIEM platforms Preferred: Experience with cloud networking, virtualisation technologies, or infrastructure as code Preferred: Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies What we offer At Eastech Systems Limited, we are committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our employees.
