About the role The Audit Associate will assist in carrying out audit assignments for a portfolio of clients across various industries and gain practical exposure to audit procedures, financial reporting and accounting practices. The role involves assisting the audit team in planning and executing audit engagements, preparing audit working papers, performing audit procedures and communicating with clients to obtain the necessary information and supporting documents. Key responsibilities Assist in planning and carrying out audit assignments in accordance with applicable auditing standards and firm procedures. Perform audit fieldwork, including checking supporting documents, testing transactions and verifying account balances. Prepare and maintain proper audit working papers and documentation. Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial statement items. Assist in the preparation and completion of audit schedules and audit documentation. Assist in preparing financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Identify and communicate audit issues and discrepancies to the Audit Senior or Audit Manager. Follow up with clients on outstanding information, explanations and supporting documents. Communicate professionally with clients and maintain good working relationships. Assist in resolving audit queries and ensure audit assignments are completed accurately and within the required deadlines. About you Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related field. Candidates pursuing or intending to pursue a professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Previous audit experience will be an added advantage. Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing principles. Good analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently as well as as part of a team. Responsible, organised, detail-oriented and willing to learn.
