Experienced Motorcycle Technician

About the role Josh Coppins Motorcycles is a well-established motorcycle dealership based in Motueka, Tasman. We are a Yamaha and Suzuki dealership that services a wide range of makes and models from scooters to road to off-road, leisure to competition, commuter to ATV/ROV. We are looking for an experienced motorcycle technician to join our busy and enthusiastic team. Key responsibilities Diagnose faults, repair, replace parts and conduct routine services on motorcycles, motor scooters, mopeds and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs & ROV's) Service and repair new and used motorcycles, motor scooters, mopeds and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs & ROV's) Conduct diagnostics, dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms for inspection Conduct ride tests to ensure proper functioning Maintain detailed records of work completed Ensure workshop safety is maintained including maintaining a clean and tidy workstation Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures Perform scheduled and maintenance services, test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance Work unsupervised as well as being part of a team and work closely in terms of reporting to the Managing Director, Josh and the rest of the team Manage stock levels within the workshop to ensure all areas are kept fully maintained and stocked to the required levels such as oils, parts, accessories and tools/equipment About you At least 2+ years mechanical experience or a fully qualified technician Hold a current full NZ driver licence or the equivalent (plus class 6 motorcycle endorsement) Forklift endorsement would be a bonus Our remuneration package is competitive. You will be paid between $32 - $35 per hour. If you choose to accept work over 45 hours per week, you be paid $32.50 to $34.00 per hour for all additional hours.
