About the Role Develop, train, evaluate, and continuously improve regional data-driven weather prediction models. Build multi-source meteorological pipelines and manage training, validation, and testing datasets for data modeling. Design, develop, implement, and maintain web application systems and RESTful APIs to support business operations. Responsibilities Develop, train, evaluate, and continuously improve regional advanced algorithmic weather prediction models using deep learning frameworks. Build multi-source meteorological pipelines and manage training, validation, and testing datasets for data modeling. Design, develop, implement, and maintain web application systems and RESTful APIs to support business operations. Deploy prediction models into operational workflows and integrate application systems via APIs. Provide programming support to visualize model outputs and leverage advanced language and data analytics models for insight generation. Conduct model verification against observations, perform system testing, and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts. Manage external vendors to ensure deliverables meet internal quality standards, technical requirements, and timelines. Prepare technical documentation and conduct system training for internal staff and users. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the IT development industry or related fields. Proficiency in PyTorch/TensorFlow, data modeling, and scientific/visualization toolkits like NumPy, Pandas, and matplotlib. Experience in Java programming, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, SQL, and Web Services. Experience in React front-end framework, JavaScript, and HTML5. Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting and version control tools like GitLab or GitHub. Good command of English and Cantonese, with strong vendor management skills. A genuine interest in weather forecasting, meteorology, and environmental services. Fresh graduates or candidates with less experience will be considered for a Junior Software Engineer position.
