About the role CM Bakery Production Limited is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to join our team in a full-time capacity. Based in Kwun Tong, this role is central to our procurement operations and plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth supply of materials and ingredients essential to our bakery production. As Purchasing Clerk, you will support the purchasing department by managing supplier communications, processing orders, and maintaining inventory records. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in procurement and logistics whilst contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations. Key responsibilities Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate records of all procurement transactions Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and confirm delivery schedules Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with stock management to ensure adequate supply of materials Tracking incoming deliveries, verifying goods against purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies Maintaining up-to-date supplier databases and documentation Assisting with cost analysis and identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements Preparing purchasing reports and supporting the purchasing department with administrative tasks Coordinating with warehouse and production teams to align procurement with operational requirements Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities What we're looking for Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or inventory management role, preferably within manufacturing or food production Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and orders simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry Knowledge of procurement procedures and best practices in supply chain management Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with procurement software or inventory management systems is desirable Secondary school education as a minimum; qualifications in procurement or business administration are advantageous What we offer At CM Bakery Production Limited, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive working environment.
