About the Role: The Software Engineer in our company will build the core digital engine powering our next-generation Insurtech solution. You will own end-to-end service delivery for critical workflows—including real-time automated policy issuance, algorithmic underwriting, dynamic risk assessment, and claims automation. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS Work closely with Application Architects to understand business requirements, system architecture and technical designs, and translate them into high-quality implementations Independently handle software development tasks and take ownership of assigned features and modules across both backend and frontend Design and work with relational databases, including database schemas, queries and data models Investigate and resolve application issues across development, UAT and production environments Maintain appropriate technical documentation Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based application environments Perform Ad-hoc project as assigned Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend, frontend or full-stack software development Experience with Node.js and a modern frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue.js or Angular Good understanding of RESTful APIs and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Good problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse technical issues and develop appropriate solutions Good communication and teamwork skills, with a good command of written and spoken English Strong sense of responsibility and ownership towards assigned tasks and project deliverables Employment and remuneration: 5-day working week Double pay Attractive Performance Bonus Group medical with Dental & Vaccination 14 days AL, Marriage Leave, Compassionate Leave, Full paid SL Free snacks & beverages

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
