About the role Furbaby Retreat is Perth’s premier luxury cat hotel, created to provide a unique, stress-free sanctuary for our feline guests and complete peace of mind for their pet parents. We operate in the Top 1% of feline care, managing an uncompromising retreat where technical excellence, clinical precision, and animal welfare meet. Our operations are governed entirely by our three core brand values: Top 1%: Embracing a meticulous eye for detail and the dependability to execute every task flawlessly, from clinical data logging to streak-free suite presentation. Respect [The Individual]: Rooted in empathy, perceptive observation, and tailored care—recognising and adapting to the distinct physical, behavioural, and emotional needs of every individual guest. Protection: Ensuring the uncompromising physical and psychological safety of our guests and team through structure, stability, and rigorous biological safety protocols. The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated, reliable Furbaby Attendant (Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time, minimum 30 hours per week) to join our North Perth team. This is not a temporary stepping stone or a casual side-role; we are looking for someone with a long-term career mindset who wants to master high-standard feline care, take initiative, and develop into future leadership and management opportunities as the retreat evolves. Key responsibilities Clinical Health & Welfare: Conducting daily health audits and clinical observations (appetite, hydration, elimination, and demeanour) with objective precision. Clinical Sanitisation: Executing our veterinary-grade sanitisation routines to an "eat off the floor" standard, ensuring accommodation suites and facilities remain pristine and tour-ready at all times. Purposeful Enrichment: Delivering tailored sensory and play sessions designed to stimulate natural feline behaviours and maintain mental vitality. Client Connection: Delivering clear, professional client updates and photography using our Dual-Gear communication approach—pairing clinical clarity with genuine warmth. Medication & Specialist Care: Administering medications across a variety of needs in a calm, fear-free manner (under structured training and management sign-off protocols). About you Career-Oriented & Ambitious: You want to build a long-term career in luxury companion animal care, take personal ownership of your work, and grow into operational leadership. Meticulous & Proactive: You do not settle for "good enough". You have high standards, take initiative, and proactively ask questions and verify instructions rather than guessing. Level-Headed & Calm: You maintain quiet authority and poise under pressure, contributing to a controlled, tranquil atmosphere for our sensitive feline guests. Accountable & Direct: You value clear, honest, and direct communication and collaborate constructively within a close-knit team. Previous animal care, boarding, or veterinary environment experience is valued, but personal accountability, emotional maturity, and a dedication to excellence are essential. Benefits Permanent Stability: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time contract (minimum 34 hours/week) under an Enterprise Agreement with penalty rates paid for weekends and public holidays. Career Pathway: Comprehensive, ongoing coaching and professional development with pathways towards retreat management. Modern Systems: Transparent rostering and digital shift workflows managed via Deputy. Uniform Provided: Official staff shirt provided To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your long-term career goals and how your personal work ethic aligns with our core brand values of Top 1%, Respect [The Individual], and Protection . Applications close at 5:00 pm on Monday, 31 August 2026 . We reserve the right to commence interviews prior to the closing date, so early application is highly encouraged.
