About the role We are looking for an Audit Senior to join our growing Financial Services Audit & Assurance team in Auckland. Working closely with Managers and Partners, you'll play a key role in delivering audits and assurance engagements across a range of financial services clients, gaining exposure to complex regulatory environments and high-profile organisations. You'll take ownership of key audit areas, support the development of junior team members, and build strong client relationships while continuing to deepen your technical expertise in financial services assurance. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning, execution and completion of financial services audit and assurance engagements. Lead fieldwork and oversee the work of junior team members, providing coaching and support. Identify and assess key business, financial reporting and regulatory risks. Review accounting systems, controls and processes, making practical recommendations where appropriate. Prepare audit documentation and client deliverables, including financial statement reports and governance communications. Build strong relationships with clients and maintain regular communication throughout engagements. Ensure audit work is completed in accordance with professional standards, quality requirements and internal methodologies. Work collaboratively with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. Contribute to a positive team culture and support the development of less experienced staff. Experience We are looking for someone who is technically capable, client-focused and eager to continue building their career within Financial Services Audit & Assurance: 3–5+ years' audit experience within a professional services environment. Experience working with financial services, regulated entities or complex audit clients is highly regarded. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline. CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or working towards completion). Strong understanding of audit methodology and accounting standards. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A proactive mindset and genuine interest in developing expertise within the financial services sector.
