Sales Engineer (Automation) Responsibilities - Sales for a complete spectrum of automation products such as Industrial PC, PLC, Fieldbus components, Motion Technology and complete PC-based automation solutions - Manage, develop, and build relationships with solution providers, Machine Maker, OEMs, System integrators, and End-users in targeted segments - Focuses exclusively on acquiring new opportunities and expanding into targeted industries. Requirements - Degree in Mechatronic engineering, Instrument engineering, Automation engineering, Industrial engineering or related field. - At least 3 or more years of sales experience in the Industrial field. - Experience in industrial automation (IPC, PLC, Robotics, Motion Systems, Vision Systems, Fieldbus, and system configuration) or background in OEM and Machine Maker sectors is preferred. - Self-motivated team player with proven B2B sales and marketing skills, working alongside a supportive team environment. - Maintain professionalism and accuracy in high-pressure environments. - Proficient in English communication. - Valid driving license and own car. - You will also get good travelling opportunities to the regional SEA countries and Germany. - Your job requires you to be a fast learner with a penchant on solving technical challenges. - Good at teamwork. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
