Automotive Technician

A rare opportunity has become available for a qualified and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Armstrong’s Christchurch, working primarily across Peugeot and Leapmotor, with the opportunity to also work with Mercedes-Benz. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a range of leading automotive brands in a supportive, professional environment, with ongoing training and career development. Key responsibilities: Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on customer and dealership vehicles Complete all work efficiently, accurately, and to a consistently high standard Diagnose faults and undertake a broad range of mechanical repairs Deliver a high level of customer service Use workshop equipment and tools correctly and with care Maintain clean, safe, and organised workshop areas and equipment What we offer: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Bonus scheme Ongoing manufacturer training and career development opportunities Supportive and knowledgeable team environment The opportunity to work across Peugeot, Leapmotor and Mercedes-Benz What we’re looking for: A relevant automotive trade qualification A minimum of 3 years’ relevant automotive experience – essential Previous European vehicle experience is highly regarded Strong diagnostic capabilities and broad repair skills A positive attitude and a collaborative, team-focused approach Full, clean New Zealand driver licence Currently based in New Zealand and available to start as soon as possible This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week , generally worked between 8:00am and 5:00pm , with occasional rostered Saturdays.
