About the role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join P&N Industrial Trading Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Malaysia. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position is essential to supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of our organisation, providing reliable financial information to key stakeholders and management to facilitate informed business decisions. Key responsibilities Review monthly management accounts for all Malaysia branches to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies Monitor and analyze cash flow projections to support effective financial planning and operational decision-making Oversee finance and human resources functions across all Malaysia branches, ensuring efficient operations and regulatory compliance Review and approve monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements Authorize cheque issuances and bank payments, ensuring timely, accurate, and properly controlled disbursements Analyze weekly collection reports to improve accounts receivable management and enhance cash collection efficiency Lead the implementation of the ERP system across Malaysia branches to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency Prepare quarterly tax estimates and ensure timely compliance with all applicable tax and regulatory requirements Provide management with financial analysis, business insights, and ad hoc reports to support strategic decision-making Develop, standardize, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across Malaysia branches to strengthen internal controls and operational consistency About you Qualification in accounting or a related field, such as a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional accounting qualification Professional accounting certification or membership with a recognised accounting body (such as ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent Malaysian accounting bodies) Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting roles Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical and numerical skills Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent organisational and time management abilities Sound understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information clearly Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment Benefits We are committed to supporting our employees' professional development and wellbeing.
