Specialist Tax & Business Advisory Accountant We are seeking a motivated Tax & Business Advisory Accountant to join our growing team in Christchurch. The role will include: Preparing financial statements and tax returns Providing tax compliance and advisory services to a range of clients Assisting clients with tax structuring, risk management and compliance obligations Working on varied and interesting tax assignments, including opportunities involving international referrals through Nexia International Preparing annual budgets, cashflow forecasts and monthly management reports Supporting clients with accounting systems, cloud platforms and financial reporting tools Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and reporting Assisting with a range of business advisory projects Building strong relationships and working directly with clients to understand and support their business needs About you We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with clients and wants to develop a broad skill set across both tax and business advisory. Ideally, you’ll have: Previous experience in Tax, BAS, or a combination of both, preferably within a CA or professional services environment A good understanding of financial statements and tax compliance Strong organisational and communication skills Confidence communicating with both clients and colleagues A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach An interest in developing your tax advisory and broader business advisory skills An interest in accounting technology, business systems and process improvement A willingness to take ownership and responsibility for your work A Chartered Accountant designation, or be working towards this, would be advantageous If you’re looking for a role that gives you exposure beyond traditional compliance work and the opportunity to develop across tax, accounting and business advisory, we’d love to hear from you.
