About the role This role involves managing accounts payable (AP) functions, including document verification, invoice processing, payment preparation, and financial reconciliation. Key responsibilities Verify documents before payment and check invoices from suppliers Compare invoices with purchase orders (PO) and goods receipt notes (GRN) Verify payment terms and accuracy of amounts Record accounts payable entries and purchase transactions in the accounting system Categorise payables by company and service provider Prepare payments and payment vouchers Prepare cheques, transfers, and internet banking transactions Plan payment schedules according to due dates Monitor cash flow, prioritise payments, and coordinate with the finance department on cash flow matters Calculate and remit withholding tax (WHT) and prepare WHT certificates for submission to the revenue department About you Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations Ability to prepare VAT and withholding tax (WHT) Proficiency with accounting software (such as SAP or similar) Meticulous and highly responsible Honest and able to maintain financial confidentiality Good communication and coordination skills Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Positive attitude and willingness to develop professionally
