About the role The Group Finanace Manager is a newly created role designed to support the continued growth of the business and strengthen financial oversight across the group. Working closely with the Directors and senior leadership team, this role will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cashflow management, compliance, and monitoring performance across multiple offices. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership responsibilities with day-to-day financial and accounting tasks. Alongside overseeing the finance function, the successful candidate will be actively involved in monthly reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, and supporting the wider team with financial processes and reporting requirements. The role will also focus on improving systems, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audit and compliance requirements, and helping ensure consistency across the finance team as the business continues to grow. Key responsibilities Lead and mentor the finance team Lead group financial strategy and financial modelling Monitor and optimise profitability across all offices Track key metrics and office performance Prepare shareholder reporting and board packs Oversight of trust accounting compliance and risk, including audit readiness Improve and streamline accounting processes within the department Risk Management & controls including; - Establishing and maintaining internal controls and policies - Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies Reporting & Analysis Manage month-end and year-end close processes Monitor key business drivers and highlight risks or areas of concern Budgeting & Forecasting Track budgets and report on variances Prepare rolling forecasts and support scenario planning Cashflow & Banking Manage cashflow, working capital, and liquidity Identify cost efficiencies and improvements Manage banking relationships and covenant reporting Ensure continuity across the finance team, including cross-training and coverage Support ad hoc projects as required About you Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified Minimum 5+ years’ accounting experience Strong experience with Xero and advanced Excel skills You’ll also bring: Strong financial analysis and reporting capability High attention to detail and a high level of integrity Strong problem-solving and modelling skills Strong Communication skills with business owners / leaders and all stakeholders including but not limited to property managers, agents, landlords, banks, external accountants and auditors Experience working in a real estate agency or property management company preferred About us A T Realty Group is a growing real estate business with multiple offices across Auckland.
