Build scalable trading and research tools that orchestrate strategies, explore large datasets, analyze risk, uncover opportunities, and empower traders through fast, flexible technology and continuous experimentation. What You'll Do: Build tools that help traders orchestrate strategies across a broad product range. Develop infrastructure that makes large datasets fast and intuitive to explore. Create solutions for trade analysis, risk modelling, and opportunity discovery. Work closely with traders and researchers to understand real-world problems. Experiment with new ideas, rapidly validate solutions, and scale successful concepts. Choose the right technology for each challenge, using Python, Java, React, SQL, or other appropriate tools. Iterate quickly based on direct stakeholder feedback and changing requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Translating ambiguous business challenges into practical technical solutions. Designing and developing trading and research tooling at scale. Building data-driven systems that enable rapid analysis and exploration. Supporting strategy orchestration and trading workflow optimization. Developing analytical capabilities around risk, trades, and market opportunities. Collaborating closely with traders, researchers, and stakeholders across the business. Evaluating prototypes and determining whether to scale, refine, or replace them. Continuously improving tools through short development cycles and rapid feedback. Moving comfortably between different technologies depending on the problem at hand. Why Join Us: Work directly alongside traders and researchers who use the technology you build. Solve open-ended problems where defining the solution is part of the engineering challenge. Work across trading systems, data infrastructure, analytics, risk, and strategy tooling. Enjoy rapid feedback loops that allow ideas to move quickly from concept to production. Use a diverse technology stack rather than being restricted to one language or framework. See the direct impact of your work on trading strategy, analysis, and opportunity discovery. About You: Energized by ambiguous problems where the solution has not yet been defined. Comfortable moving between programming languages and technologies. Pragmatic about technology and focused on selecting the right tool for each problem. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Able to uncover the underlying need behind a stakeholder's initial request. Comfortable experimenting, iterating, and rapidly validating new ideas. Willing to scale successful solutions while confidently abandoning approaches that do not deliver value. Curious, adaptable, and motivated by solving complex problems in dynamic environments. #SoftwareEngineering #TradingTechnology #TradingTools #Python #Java #React #SQL #DataEngineering #DataAnalytics #RiskManagement #TradingSystems #ResearchTechnology #StrategyAutomation #FinTech #SoftwareDevelopment

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
