We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences : Part-time Research Assistant II (N&HS) (Ref: 26001TG) Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in coordinating a research project, “Feasibility and acceptability of implementation of mindfulness-based intervention for community-dwelling older adults with emigrant children suffering from loneliness: a pilot randomized controlled trial”. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: · conducting literature review on relevant topics; · recruiting research participants; · assisting in conducting interventions such as preparing education video clips); · assisting in data collection, including surveys and interviews; · performing quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis; and · providing research-related assistance. He/she will be normally assigned to work less than 68 hours per four consecutive weeks. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: a recognized Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare, social work, social science, psychology or related disciplines; proficient in MS Office Words, Excel, and PowerPoint; proficient in SPSS will be an advantage; a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese); especially with the seniors; and a good team player and able to coordinate research projects independently.
