About the Role We are looking for a multi-skilled and technically minded person to join our night shift production team in a varied role covering ABG Series 3 operation, label converting, slitting and finishing . This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for operating and setting up production equipment, monitoring quality, completing finishing processes and ensuring jobs are produced efficiently and to our high standards. Previous experience in the label or print industry is preferred, particularly with converting, finishing or embellishment equipment. However, we are happy to train the right person . A background in engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, machinery operation or another technical environment would be highly regarded. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with machinery, solving problems and learning how things work, while having a strong eye for detail and quality. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Production Operate and set up ABG Series 3 equipment to produce high-quality, high-embellishment labels. Operate label converting, finishing and slitting equipment, including GM and Slitter/Rewinder machinery. Set up machinery and make adjustments throughout production to ensure jobs are running efficiently and to specification. Monitor machinery and production processes, identifying and resolving issues where possible. Complete finishing and packing requirements to the required job specifications. Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Quality Control Conduct regular quality checks throughout production. Ensure labels meet customer specifications and Wrapt Labels' quality standards. Identify and report any quality issues or production inconsistencies. Complete required quality assurance and production records accurately. Maintain a strong attention to detail, particularly when working with high-end and embellished labels. Maintenance & Problem Solving Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping. Identify potential machinery issues and report maintenance requirements promptly. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical or production issues. Work collaboratively with the wider production team to improve processes and minimise waste and downtime. Contribute ideas and suggestions for improving production efficiency, quality and workflow. Health & Safety Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe operating practices. Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment. Correctly use all machinery, equipment and PPE. Report hazards, equipment issues or safety concerns promptly. Teamwork & Culture Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet customer deadlines. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding production requirements and issues. Take pride in producing high-quality work and contributing to a positive team environment. Be willing to learn new equipment, processes and skills as the business continues to grow. About You We are looking for someone who is: Technically minded and enjoys working with machinery and equipment. Practical, hands-on and confident working in a manufacturing environment. Reliable, motivated and takes pride in their work. Naturally curious and enjoys understanding how machinery and processes work. A strong problem solver with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues. Detail-oriented with a strong eye for quality. Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Physically capable of carrying out the manual requirements of the role. A positive team player who is willing to learn and contribute. Committed to working safely and following procedures. Experience Previous experience in the label, print, converting or manufacturing industry is preferred but is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience with: Printing or label production. Converting or finishing machinery. Slitting/rewinding equipment. High-end or embellished print production. Manufacturing or production machinery. Mechanical or electrical equipment. Engineering or technical problem solving. If you have a background in engineering or another technical trade but don't have label industry experience, we would still love to hear from you. Training will be provided to the right person.
