The Opportunity The finance team is looking to hire a motivated Assistant Accountant to support their expanding needs starting immediately. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across various tasks including month-end accounting, which will support more complex accounts payable queries. Processing of journals Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Tax compliance activities - GST returns Maintain daily cash flow requirements including foreign currency. Support finance team members to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information. Participate in the 6-monthly audit (Half year audit and End of Year audit) Assist with Accounts Payable Back up support across management reports Any other duties that we reasonably require you to do. Your Profile Can start immediately 2 years of accounts experience in New Zealand Proficiency in Excel, and ideally an ERP Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
