About the role The Branch Lead – Christchurch Hub is a multi-discipline operational leadership role responsible for the day-to-day delivery of service operations across all Clarkson's service channels in the Christchurch region. This includes electrical, property, fuels, carwash, and Cowley/HVAC&R services. Unlike channel-specific Branch Lead roles, this position reflects the breadth of the Christchurch hub - requiring the ability to coordinate and lead across multiple technical disciplines simultaneously, ensuring all contractual SLAs and KPIs are met, teams are effectively managed, and clients receive consistent, high-quality service regardless of the service stream. This is a hands-on leadership role. The Branch Lead is expected to be present in the field, visible to clients and team members, and actively engaged in the day-to-day running of the Christchurch service operation. Key responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day delivery of service operations across all Christchurch disciplines: electrical, property, fuels, carwash, and Cowley/HVAC&R Plan and schedule planned, reactive, and project works across all service streams each week — maximising efficient use of time and resources in line with client obligations and expectations Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, to a high standard, and on a first-time-fix basis wherever possible Manage and oversee sub-contractor performance across all disciplines, ensuring all work meets Clarkson's and client requirements Maintain accurate records of all changes and works across service streams, including documentation updates Ensure electrical registration and practising licences are current for all applicable team members, and that Cowley/HVAC&R certifications and requirements are actively managed Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, codes, and standards across all service disciplines Lead and manage Christchurch-based technicians across all service disciplines — monitor performance, provide feedback, and support development Ensure full compliance with all Clarkson's and client HSSE policies, QMS, OH&S, and EMS frameworks across all service disciplines Manage service delivery across all disciplines in accordance with contract KPIs and client expectations About you Full, clean NZ Driver's Licence (manual vehicle) Minimum 5 years' working knowledge of at least two of the service disciplines covered by this role (electrical, property, fuels, carwash, or HVAC&R), gained in an operational or field service environment Demonstrated experience supervising or leading multi-discipline or multi-trade technician teams Demonstrated ability to manage multiple service disciplines, sites, and teams simultaneously — with a positive, solutions-focused attitude Broad technical knowledge across two or more of the following: commercial/industrial electrical, property maintenance, fuels systems, carwash equipment, or HVAC&R Practical understanding of hazardous area compliance requirements relevant to fuels environments Working knowledge of HVAC&R systems and the regulatory framework governing refrigerant handling Professional and accurate written and verbal communication skills (English) with high attention to detail Strong organisational skills — able to manage competing priorities across multiple service streams Good knowledge of HSE regulations and a proven commitment to safety leadership
