We are currently working exclusively with a highly regarded Melbourne-based property developer and builder to appoint an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their in-house construction team. An award-winning organisation that takes a fully integrated approach to property development, with architecture, interior design, construction, project management, sales, marketing, operations and asset management all managed in-house. This is an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Administrator to join an experienced construction team and play a key role in the delivery of a multi-residential apartment development in South-East Melbourne. Location: South-East Melbourne / CBD Position: Contracts Administrator Sector: Multi-Residential / Apartments Employment: Permanent Start: September 2026 Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Super The Opportunity Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction and tendering through to construction delivery and final handover. This is a hands-on role suited to a Contracts Administrator who enjoys being involved across procurement, subcontractor management, cost control and project delivery, rather than being limited to purely administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with the Project Manager, site team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure the project is delivered efficiently, within budget and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Manage contracts administration across the project lifecycle Assist with estimating, tender preparation and subcontractor procurement Prepare scopes of work, tender packages and subcontractor documentation Review and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations Manage subcontractor engagement, contracts and compliance Review progress claims, variations and payment schedules Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking and cost-to-complete forecasting Monitor project costs and financial performance Maintain project registers, documentation and correspondence Coordinate RFIs, shop drawings, approvals and project documentation Support the Project Manager and site team with day-to-day project delivery Assist with subcontractor scheduling, quality inspections and defect management Assist with project reporting, meetings and handover documentation Ensure project documentation and compliance requirements are maintained Assist with the successful delivery of key project milestones through to completion About You We are looking for an experienced and driven Contracts Administrator with approximately 3–5 years' experience in a construction environment. Ideally, you will have a background delivering multi-residential or apartment developments, with experience on projects involving: Basement construction Approximately 5–7 storeys Complex subcontractor packages Tendering and procurement Contracts administration Cost and financial management Full project lifecycle delivery Requirements 3–5 years' experience as a Contracts Administrator Demonstrated experience delivering multi-residential/apartment projects Relevant Diploma of Building & Construction, Construction Management or related degree Strong understanding of construction methodology, contracts and project delivery Strong commercial and cost management capability Experience with tendering, procurement, variations and progress claims Experience with CostX, Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, Sage Intacct, BuildPass or Bluebeam will be highly regarded.
