About the role We are seeking an experienced Service Manager- Coffee Equipment to join our team at our Mount Wellington, Auckland team on a full-time basis. The Manager of Service is responsible for the overall leadership, commercial performance and operational management of Segafredo Zanetti’s coffee equipment service department. The position ensures customers receive reliable, responsive and cost-effective technical support across commercial espresso machines, automatic coffee machines, grinders, milk systems, water filtration systems and associated equipment. The role is accountable for service delivery, technical performance, spare parts management, rental fleet control, customer satisfaction, service revenue and departmental profitability. The Manager of Service also works closely with sales, operations, finance, suppliers and key customers to support equipment installations, service agreements, tenders and new business opportunities. What you'll be doing: Oversee all field service, workshop repairs, preventative maintenance, installations and equipment commissioning. Ensure service jobs are logged, prioritised, scheduled, completed and closed accurately. Develop and implement the service department’s operational and commercial strategy. Establish clear responsibilities, performance standards and accountability across the service team. As required, be hands on and install, maintain and service espresso machines and coffee equipment at customer locations. Take responsibility for the service department’s revenue, gross profit, labour recovery and operating expenses. Lead, drive and engage the file service team in an enthusiastic, positive and ca' do team approach. What we're looking for Relevant qualifications or certifications in equipment servicing, mechanical repair or a related technical field Commercially astute that is revenue and gross profit orientated where you have had experience to monitor and drive billable hours and productivity ensuring that both revenue and operating profit margins are maintained. Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently. A continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated approach were you have successfully implemented key team metrics around cost, quality and service.
