About the role: Reporting to the Project Services Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to manage the allocation and administration of contracts from pre-award through to post-award. The role will provide a high level of contracts support to the business by effectively scoping, tendering, negotiating, awarding and administering assigned contracts and agreements for the Mulga Downs project. Responsibilities of this position include: Managing the full project lifecycle for scoping and tendering, including expressions of interest, tender evaluations, due diligence and contract formation. Attending pre-bid and post-bid meetings with relevant stakeholders. Negotiating terms and conditions for services and long-lead items. Supporting quality assurance reporting and compliance monitoring. Preparing commercial reports on procurement and contract status, including cost commitments, progress payments, variations, claims and correspondence. Managing contracts for a live major project in line with HanRoy’s contractual and procedural requirements, legal obligations, codes and standards. To be successful in this position, you will have: A minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in contracts management, administration and cost control across major mining, commercial or infrastructure construction projects. Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors, owner’s teams or EPC/EPCM environments. A degree in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Finance or Law. A sound understanding of contract law and general legal principles. The ability to review and fairly evaluate bids and tender packages. Experience completing like-for-like price reviews and adjustments in line with rise-and-fall mechanisms. Strong capability in compiling and conforming contracts and tender documents, including an understanding of various methods of measurement. Strong negotiation skills when working with contractors, consultants and suppliers. Experience drafting formal communication and correspondence to vendors in relation to project contract administration. Experience in medium-value and medium-complexity contract development and management, ideally within the resources industry or a similar project environment. The ability to build relationships, engage stakeholders and drive favourable outcomes with contractors, consultants, suppliers and stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical capability, sound business acumen, advanced documentation skills and high attention to detail.
