About the role Station Overseer at Calliope Cattle Co, a family-owned breeding and backgrounding operation in the Gladstone/Callide region. Lead day-to-day operations on one of our properties, based 15km from Biloela. Full time employment with occasional weekend work. Key responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the property's livestock operations, including cattle mustering and yard work Communicate and plan daily work programs, with shared staff between the company Oversee general repair and maintenance of station assets including fences and stock water points Manage weed and pest management and spraying programs Oversee supplemental lick feeding programs as required Take primary responsibility for maintaining and enforcing Property Biosecurity protocols Liaise directly with ownership on stock movements and property priorities Coordinate contractors and third-party operators (e.g. helicopter) as required Work and coordinate with fellow team members in a constructive manner, fostering a safe and productive team culture About you Substantial experience handling beef cattle in a safe, quiet and competent manner, with prior experience supervising or leading a station team An open manual driver's licence required Truck licence strongly preferred The ability to operate a drone is preferred Strong farm and/or heavy machinery equipment experience Physically able to undertake strenuous tasks as required Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Strong communication, leadership and team management skills Sound record-keeping and basic administrative ability (musters, treatments, biosecurity records) Benefits Competitive remuneration negotiable based on individual experience and skills, reflecting the seniority of the role Private self-contained housing with electricity supplied Easy access to nearby town that offer all amenities About us Calliope Cattle Co is a family-owned breeding and backgrounding operation in the Gladstone/Callide region with 5 properties worked in conjunction.
