About the role With one of key team member's taking on a new opportunity, it leaves Fagan's with some big shoes to fill and we are looking for our next super star groomer! The Vehicle Groomer works with the Vehicle Sales Department, and the Service Department to groom vehicles that have arrived or are due to be sold and delivered to customers or in for a vehicle service and require a complimentary vehicle groom. The Vehicle Groomer will be expected to fulfil a range of tasks around the site, including grooming vehicles, picking up and dropping off cars, parts and working with internal and/or external customers as well as helping Sales, Service Advisors and other staff with the day-to-day activities as needed. Key responsibilities Carry out wash and vacuum on all service vehicles in a timely manner, in order for the vehicle to be delivered to the customer by the scheduled pickup time, including washing the vehicle's exterior, vacuuming floors and boot, wiping dash and centre console with lint free cloth, removing fingerprints from touch screen, and cleaning the windscreen and wing mirrors to a streak free finish Carry out full grooms on vehicles in preparation for delivery or display as instructed, including vacuuming the interior including the boot, polishing the dash of dust, applying paint and fabric/leather protection and deodorising as required Groom the exterior which could involve a full wash, buff, and steam clean, and provide touch ups on fully groomed vehicles just prior to delivery Carefully follow any customer requests or vehicle paint protection or signwriting specific wash instructions when carrying out a vehicle groom Assist with showroom and yard changes, cleaning and moving vehicles as required Inspect new vehicles for transport damage as per Manufacturers requirements and report any damage to the Sales or Service Manager without delay Participate in the opening and closing of the yard depending on rostered requirements, assisting in making the site accessible in the morning and/or assisting with securing the site in the evening, obeying all key security, alarm and general security protocols About you Good communication and self-management to ensure that you have completed the required grooming tasks in scheduled times Experienced vehicle groomer Ability to work with multiple departments Self motivated Pride in your own work and delivering a great standard for our customers Able to work under time pressure and timeframes for customers
