Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer / Dev Lead to join our engineering team. This role is suited to a hands-on technologist with a strong software development background who is ready to take on team leadership responsibilities — guiding a small team of developers while remaining actively involved in design, coding, and delivery. You will play a key role in shaping our technical direction, mentoring junior and mid-level developers, and driving the adoption of modern development practices, including AI-assisted development tools and workflows. Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements and architecture through deployment and support. Lead and mentor a small team of developers (2–5 people), providing technical guidance, code reviews, and career development support. Own technical delivery for assigned projects, including estimation, task breakdown, and coordination with the CTO / Head of Engineering. Architect and implement backend services using C# and .NET Core, and front-end/mobile experiences using React (React.js and React Native). Design and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and reliability. Manage and support cloud infrastructure and environments on AWS, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of production systems. Champion best practices across the SDLC, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, version control (Git), and Agile/Scrum delivery. Evaluate, pilot, and drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and practices (e.g., AI coding assistants, AI-enabled testing or code review) to improve team productivity and code quality. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, QA, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and decisions on tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure. Identify risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt, and propose practical solutions to address them. Required Skills: 8+ years of solid hands-on programming / software development experience. Strong foundation in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Proven experience with cloud server infrastructure and environments, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or similar services). Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core for backend development. Strong proficiency in React (React.js) for web front-end development, and React Native for mobile app development. Solid experience with MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and database performance tuning. 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity, having directly managed or led a small team of developers. Genuine passion for software development, with a track record of staying current with new technologies and best practices. Demonstrated interest in, or hands-on experience with, adopting AI tools for software development (e.g., AI coding assistants, AI-powered code review or testing tools). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions independently. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker (and Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Working knowledge of Git and modern version control workflows. Experience in the loyalty, fintech, retail, or e-commerce industry. AWS certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer). A builder who enjoys writing good code as much as guiding others to do the same. Someone comfortable balancing hands-on development work with team leadership duties. A proactive mindset toward exploring and adopting new tools and technologies, especially AI-driven development practices. Strong ownership mentality and accountability for team and project outcomes.

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.
Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.
The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.
In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
