Job Summary The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting and managing daily logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, coordination, and freight forwarding activities. This role ensures smooth operational flow, compliance with regulations, timely delivery performance, and high service quality to support customer and business requirements. Key Accountabilities · Oversee daily logistics operations for import and export shipments. · Coordinate transportation, customs clearance, warehouse activities, and delivery arrangements. · Monitor shipment movement and ensure on-time delivery performance. · Resolve operational issues related to customs, transportation, cargo delays, and documentation. · Coordinate with freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines, and government authorities. · Ensure import/export documentation complies with customs and regulatory requirements. · Support BOI, Free Zone, bonded warehouse, and privilege operations when required. · Maintain close communication with customers regarding shipment status and operational updates. · Support customer requirements, escalation handling, and service improvement initiatives. · Ensure customer KPIs and service expectations are achieved. · Support and supervise logistics operation staff and service providers. · Monitor operational productivity and workflow efficiency. · Provide operational guidance and training to team members. · Prepare operational reports, KPI tracking, and management summaries. · Monitor transportation costs, operational performance, and service quality metrics. · Coordinate with internal departments including procurement, finance, warehouse, and customer service teams. · Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and cost control. · Support implementation of logistics improvement projects and operational initiatives Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. · Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or customs operations. · Strong understanding of import/export processes and logistics operations. · Knowledge of customs regulations, BOI, or Free Zone operations is an advantage. · Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. · Good command of English communication. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics-related systems Preferred Skills · Experience managing logistics operations for multinational customers. · Strong problem-solving and operational planning skills. · Experience in KPI management and process improvement.
