About the role Social Multiway Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Mobile QA Engineer with Flutter & API experience to join our quality assurance team. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications built with Flutter, as well as testing our API infrastructure. You will play a critical part in our product development lifecycle, identifying defects early and ensuring our applications meet the highest standards before release to end-users. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile technologies whilst maintaining rigorous quality standards across our digital products. Key responsibilities Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Flutter-based mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms Perform functional, regression, performance and user acceptance testing on mobile applications Test RESTful APIs and ensure integration between mobile applications and backend services functions correctly Identify, document and track software defects using bug tracking systems, providing clear reproduction steps and expected versus actual results Collaborate with mobile developers, backend engineers and product managers to understand requirements and establish quality standards Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes to prevent defects early in the development cycle Conduct manual testing and develop automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage Test application performance, compatibility and usability across various mobile devices, screen sizes and operating systems Verify API functionality, data validation, error handling and security protocols Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies What we're looking for Proven experience as a QA Engineer or QA Tester with a focus on mobile application testing, preferably with Flutter applications Strong knowledge of iOS and Android testing methodologies and tools Hands-on experience testing APIs, including RESTful web services and understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms Solid understanding of software testing best practices, including test planning, test case design and test execution Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools such as Appium, XCTest, Espresso or equivalent Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams Knowledge of bug tracking and project management tools Understanding of mobile app architecture, UI/UX testing principles and performance optimisation Preferred: Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks Preferred: Exposure to agile development methodologies and sprint-based testing cycles What we offer Social Multiway Sdn Bhd is committed to providing our employees with a supportive and dynamic work environment.
