Construction Feedlot/Yard builder Team Leader

Team Leader – Manufacturing, Fabrication & Onsite Construction Frizzell Industries is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to supervise manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance and onsite construction activities. Based in Warwick, QLD , this is a hands-on leadership role that also involves travel to remote worksites throughout Queensland and interstate. About the Role As Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting team members, organising daily work, allocating tasks and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard . You will work alongside the team while taking responsibility for productivity, workmanship, communication and keeping projects moving to meet required deadlines. A key part of this position is ensuring job paperwork is completed accurately, clearly and on time . This includes timesheets, job sheets, stock and material records, safety documentation and records of variations or additional works. Accurate paperwork is essential to assist our administration team with payroll, job costing and invoicing , and the Team Leader must be available to assist with any questions or clarification relating to completed paperwork. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise and support employees and apprentices Allocate daily tasks and coordinate onsite activities Monitor productivity, workmanship and project progress Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to Frizzell Industries' standards Assist with welding, fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance and construction activities Read and interpret plans, drawings and job requirements Coordinate materials, stock, machinery and equipment required for each job Identify and resolve onsite issues to keep projects progressing Ensure WHS procedures and site requirements are followed Complete and check timesheets, job sheets and other required paperwork Accurately record materials, stock usage, variations and additional works Support and assist apprentices with their development and day-to-day work Communicate with management regarding project progress, staffing, materials and any issues that may affect deadlines or costs Travel to and work at remote project locations when required Willing to work away from home at 2 weeks at a time Key Requirements Proven team leadership and communication skills Experience in welding, metal fabrication, machinery and construction Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage people, workloads and project deadlines Knowledge of maintenance programs and WHS requirements Experience working with and supporting apprentices Strong attention to detail, particularly with job documentation and paperwork White Card Current C Class driver's licence Willingness to travel and work remotely Highly Regarded The following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded: Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or similar) Forklift and EWP licences MR, HR or HC driver's licence Basic computer and digital paperwork skills At least two years of relevant industry experience Previous experience supervising construction, fabrication or livestock infrastructure projects What We Offer Company vehicle option , with personal use available depending on the agreed employment package Competitive pay based on skills, qualifications and experience 2 and 1 swings Plenty of overtime if wanted Accommodation and food allowance included Opportunities for pay increases and performance bonuses Additional incentives may be available on larger projects based on performance, meeting project deadlines, quality of work and level of responsibility Variety of workshop, construction and remote project work Opportunity to take ownership of projects and lead a growing team Long-term opportunity to progress with Frizzell Industries We are looking for someone who can lead from the front , take responsibility for their team and projects, communicate clearly and maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and organisation.
