Sport taught you how to compete. Now use it to build a career. If you’ve worked in a leisure centre, coached a team, played competitive sport or built your life around fitness, you already possess qualities employers struggle to teach: discipline, resilience, teamwork and the willingness to improve. The question is...where can those qualities take you? Pinnacle’s founder, Peter, began his career at Hurstville Aquatic Centre and Hurstville Golf Course before working in marketing and media with the NRL. Wanting greater responsibility, earning potential and control over his future, he stepped into face-to-face sales with no previous experience. Faima came from professional rugby league and made the same leap. He brought his discipline, competitiveness and team-first mentality into sales and has since progressed into a senior leadership position. Their paths were different, but the mindset was the same. Today, Pinnacle is a growing team operating across two sales divisions - built around clear standards, daily coaching and progression earned through performance. Now we’re looking for the next people ready to turn the mindset developed through sport into a career with somewhere meaningful to go. The opportunity You’ll join our Sydney-based face-to-face customer acquisition team, representing established Australian not-for-profit organisations across community campaigns. You’ll learn how to communicate confidently, build rapport quickly, handle pressure, influence ethically and perform toward clear individual and team targets. This isn’t a sports role, but it is an environment where the mindset developed through sport is genuinely rewarded. No previous sales experience is required. We provide paid training, daily coaching and a structured development pathway. You bring the attitude, reliability and willingness to improve. What you’ll receive $36–$47 per hour, depending on experience and progression Uncapped weekly commissions and performance bonuses Fully paid training from your first day Daily coaching from experienced sales leaders Full-time Monday–Friday hours with shorter Fridays An energetic, social and competitive team environment Regular recognition, team activities and travel opportunities Performance-based progression into training and leadership The chance to join a growing business and help shape its future Who this opportunity suits You could be a strong fit if you: Have worked in a leisure centre, gym, sporting club or recreation environment Have experience coaching, competing or working within a team Enjoy being challenged and measured by your performance Respond well to coaching and constructive feedback Communicate confidently and enjoy meeting new people Want your effort to influence your income and progression Are reliable, resilient and available full-time Monday–Friday Can commute to Surry Hills and work across Sydney locations Experience in sport, fitness, recreation, hospitality or customer service is valuable—but attitude, character and consistency matter most. Your progression Everyone begins by mastering the frontline role. As you demonstrate performance, reliability and the ability to positively influence others, you can earn opportunities to: Support and coach new starters Assist with team training Take responsibility for campaign performance Develop into future leadership and management positions Progression isn’t promised because of time served. It is earned through results, consistency and leadership by example, the same principles that apply in competitive sport. If sport has given you the drive but your current role isn’t giving you the future, this could be your next challenge. We’re interviewing now for multiple immediate-start positions. Apply today with your current CV and our recruitment team will contact suitable candidates for an initial phone conversation.

WorkMundi's database shows 74,689 open sales positions globally. India leads with 17,483 jobs, followed by the US with 13,876. If you're open to geography, you have real options — but the sheer number means you need a filter. Don't apply to everything. Pick a country, a company size, and a sales model that matches what you actually want to do.
Almost 8 in 10 of these ads have their text written in English. That's useful for reading the job description and understanding what you're signing up for. But it tells you nothing about whether the role requires you to speak English with customers, partners, or your team. Ask the hiring manager directly during your first conversation.
The employers posting the most are boxlunch, SIMPLE RECRUIT, FlexBoard, and tmobile. If you see their name on a listing, you know they're actively hiring. That can work in your favor — high-volume recruiters often move faster. But volume also means competition. Your application needs to stand out.
Sales interviews almost always include a version of this: 'Tell me about a time you lost a deal. What did you learn?' Prepare a real story where you take ownership of what went wrong and what you'd do differently. Hiring managers want to see you learn, not just win.
