Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning and sanitising animal enclosures, ensuring a safe environment Feeding and administering medication to animals Washing and sterilising feeding equipment Observing animals for signs of disease or injury and reporting to the Shelter Supervisor or Executive Exercising animals and conducting enrichment programmes Completing required checklists to support overall shelter operations Working closely with the Shelter Manager and Animal Care Executives to execute enrichment, treatment, and rehabilitation plans Conducting adoption appointments and screening potential adopters Providing post-adoption support Supporting ad-hoc events and organisation-led projects Job Requirements: Able to communicate in written and spoken English Experience working with animals is an advantage (not compulsory) Strong passion for animal welfare Meticulous and detail-oriented Good interpersonal and communication skills Able to perform manual tasks and comfortable working in a semi-outdoor environment Shift work including Weekend and Public Holiday
