Operations Supervisor - Auckland

We are hiring: Operations Supervisor – Auckland We’re looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Auckland installation team. This is a hands-on leadership role – you’ll spend time in the field alongside your installers as well as managing schedules, people, and performance. You’ll make sure installations are scheduled efficiently, delivered safely, and completed to Oxygen Air’s quality standards, while building a well-trained, high-performing team. You’ll be the key operational link between the confirmed sale and the installation delivered to the customer, working closely with our Sales and Customer Service teams and reporting to the Chief Executive. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead, coach, and manage the day-to-day performance of the Auckland highwall and ducted installation teams, including electricians • Get out on the tools – provide hands-on supervision, on-site quality checks, and troubleshooting across every job • Train and upskill installers and electricians, and support recruitment and onboarding of new team members • Manage the Auckland installation schedule and job allocation across highwall and ducted work, in partnership with Sales and Customer Service • Carry out site visits, technical design and scoping, and prepare accurate quotes for ducted installations • Working with the Warehouse Oversee warehouse and stock management, including van stock, equipment, and supplier coordination • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with the NZ Building Code, AS/NZS standards, and manufacturer specifications • Maintain accurate job records and report on team productivity, completion rates, and callback/rework trends What We’re Looking For • Proven HVAC experience, with hands-on installation of ducted systems, highwalls, and split systems • Experience leading, coaching, and training an installation team – you know how to build capability and accountability • A genuinely hands-on leader who is happy working in the field as well as managing and supervising the team – not a desk-bound role • Experience scheduling and coordinating field teams across multiple concurrent jobs • Strong people leadership skills, including performance management and conflict resolution • Excellent communication skills with installers, customers, suppliers, and management • A full New Zealand driver’s licence Nice to Have • Experience with FieldMagic or similar job management systems • Working at heights and/or EWP certification • Knowledge of IQP and Building Act compliance requirements Why Join Oxygen Air You’ll join a growing, locally owned New Zealand business with strong brand partnerships and a genuine focus on quality.
