Permanent Full Time $99,365 - $108,325 per annum plus Super and RDO Position No: 9051 About the role As part of the Design and Investigation team, the Traffic and Road Safety Engineer is responsible for assessing road and roadside environments and providing specialist advice to support safe and effective outcomes for all road users. This includes signage, sight distance, traffic counts, NHVR assessments, traffic management and road safety issues. You will contribute to traffic management and road safety planning, capital works, traffic surveys and road safety projects, while investigating issues arising from complaints, enquiries and crash data. The role also works closely with Council teams, contractors and relevant authorities to deliver practical solutions. About you The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or diploma and demonstrated experience in traffic engineering, road safety or a related field. You will have sound knowledge of relevant standards and legislation, including Austroads, Australian Standards and local government requirements. You will be a proactive problem solver with the ability to develop practical and innovative solutions to traffic and road safety issues across urban and rural environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders are essential.
