ABOUT ZONEFLY ZoneFly is a Bangkok-headquartered deep-tech company building high-performance autonomous UAV systems for civil and defense operators across Southeast Asia. We design the airframes, flight controllers, software, and core electronics entirely in-house: ~80–90% of components are produced internally, ensuring 100% sovereign, secure technology with zero black boxes. THE ROLE & MISSION Our software suite is powerful, but complex system data requires absolute clarity under operational stress. As our UI/UX Designer, your mission is to unify our software ecosystem under one clean, consistent design language across web, mobile, and ground-control platforms. - You will own end-to-end UX—from operator research and wireframing to high-fidelity UI, design systems, and dev-ready handoffs. You will turn live telemetry, map data, and flight analytics into interfaces a pilot can read and act on in a glance. - You will be measured on shipped production software—not static Figma mock-ups. THE SOFTWARE SURFACE YOU WILL DESIGN You will own the UI/UX across ZoneFly’s integrated operator software suite: - ZonePilot: Autopilot setup, calibration, parameter tuning, and failsafe configuration. - ZoneLink: Connectivity dashboards, link health, RF/signal status, and frequency management. - ZoneGSC: Ground control station, mission planning, live telemetry/video feeds, map-based flight ops, and alert flows. - ZoneFleet: Fleet management, flight-log reviews, telemetry playback, and maintenance reporting. - ZoneDrive: Captured media management, mission recordings, storage, and data export. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Product UX & Interaction Design - Design intuitive, high-clarity interfaces for mission planning, ground control, and operational dashboards. - Design specifically for field operators: glanceable status, error/failsafe flows, map/geospatial interactions, and real-time telemetry rendering. - Transform dense data streams into legible, actionable user interfaces. 2. Design System Ownership & Engineering Handoff - Build and maintain the centralized ZoneFly Design System in Figma (components, tokens, typography, iconography, interaction patterns). - Maintain visual and functional consistency across web, mobile, desktop, and embedded device screens. - Deliver pixel-perfect, dev-ready specs and design tokens to front-end engineers (React) to ensure faithful production implementation. 3. Operator Research & Continuous Iteration - Conduct lightweight usability testing and field interviews with pilots and operators to iterate based on real mission feedback. - Define and optimize core UX metrics: task completion speed, time-on-task, and operational error reduction. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Must-Have - Experience: 3–6 years of shipped digital product design experience (web, mobile, or desktop) with a portfolio showcasing complex workflows. - Tooling Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Figma (Auto-Layout, variables, interactive prototyping, component architecture). - Domain Experience: Proven track record designing data-dense interfaces (dashboards, analytics, control panels, monitoring systems, or geospatial apps). - Engineering Alignment: Deep understanding of component-driven design, responsive frameworks, design tokens, and dev-ready specs. - Language: Professional working proficiency in English (our internal team, documentation, and tools operate in English). Preferred (Nice-to-Have) - Experience with map/geospatial UI (Mapbox, Leaflet) and real-time data visualization. - Background in drone/GCS, robotics, aviation, IoT, or industrial control software. - Basic front-end understanding (HTML/CSS/React) or motion design skills. - Experience building and scaling design systems across multi-product teams. YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS - 30 Days: Audit the current ZoneGSC and web UX; ship your first improvement to a live screen; establish the core Figma library baseline. - 90 Days: Own one product surface end-to-end (e.g., Mission Planner or Fleet Dashboard) from research to dev-ready specs; publish v1 of the ZoneFly Design System. - 6 Months: Roll the design system across multiple product surfaces (web, mobile, on-device); achieve measurable UX task-speed improvements on core flight workflows. WHAT WE OFFER - Direct ownership of software that controls real autonomous hardware in the sky. - A flat, senior engineering structure with direct decision-making and zero bureaucracy. - Competitive base compensation (THB 55k–70k/month) + allowances + performance bonus. - Visa sponsorship and relocation support for qualified international candidates. HOW TO APPLY Send your CV and portfolio (2–3 case studies highlighting data-dense or operational products) to contact@zonefly.com with the subject: UI/UX Designer — [Your Name]
