About the role This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for the commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of material processing equipment, including crushing and screening plant, both mobile and fixed. You'll work directly with customers across a variety of sites, partnering with engineering, workshop, and parts teams to deliver exceptional service and keep equipment performing at its best. Key responsibilities Servicing, maintaining, and repairing material processing equipment Installing and commissioning crushing and screening plants Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs both in the workshop and on customer sites Performing preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown work Building strong customer relationships and delivering outstanding technical support Working safely and professionally in line with company and industry standards Supporting the wider team as required About you A relevant trade qualification in Heavy Automotive, Diesel, Engineering, Mechanical Fitting, or Fabrication Experience with heavy equipment, construction machinery, quarrying equipment, or material processing plant Knowledge of crushing and screening equipment (highly desirable) Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting capability (advantageous) Sound understanding of health and safety requirements Forklift and/or gantry crane certification (desirable) The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude A current full driver's licence Benefits Competitive remuneration package Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 8 hours per day and for weekend work Tool allowance paid in addition to your hourly rate Health insurance Life insurance Long service recognition and rewards Ongoing training and development opportunities Variety of work across multiple customer sites and equipment types A supportive team culture where your expertise is respected The opportunity to work with industry-leading material processing equipment and technology About us At MIMICO, we're trusted by customers across New Zealand to keep critical equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.
