Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We're looking for a certified heavy diesel mechanic to keep a serious fleet of machinery running for a leading civil, earthworks and quarry operator, working between Pukekohe and Hampton Downs. You'll be hands-on with excavators, bulldozers, loaders, compactors, trucks, conveyors, shredders and generators- big equipment, real variety, and no two days the same. You'll join a maintenance team with the autonomy to work solo when responding to breakdowns, and a work vehicle provided for getting between sites as part of your day-to-day. . The Details Location: Based between Pukekohe and Hampton Downs, ideally residing in surrounding suburbs, with willingness to travel Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm Pay: $40 – $60 p/h, paid weekly Offer Type: Permanent (for the right person) Start: ASAP for the right person What You'll Be Doing Daily machine checks, servicing and repairs to a high standard, with accurate documentation Respond to breakdowns and service excavators, bulldozers, loaders, compactors, trucks, conveyors, shredders and generators Schedule work and parts to manufacturer specs Manage compliance and mechanical reporting Travel between Pukekohe and Hampton Downs sites using a work-provided vehicle What You'll Need Must hold a Trade Certificate - This can be in Automotive Engineering, Heavy Diesel, Plant Mechanics, or Agricultural Machinery (or equivalent) 5+ years' experience repairing/servicing vehicles, stationary or mobile machinery Class 1 Licence Comfortable working solo and outdoors across multiple active sites Clean Drug and Alcohol Test (pre-employment and annual) Don't have your Forklift Licence or WTR Ticket yet?
