Join KANDO. Build something that lasts. At KANDO, we don’t just make parts - we build the machines that set the benchmark for quality, safety, and performance. Our in-house machine shop is where it all begins. From precision brake systems to advanced machine vision assemblies, we design and build equipment that’s shipped and installed around the world. Every component you touch will become part of something remarkable, a machine that performs better, lasts longer, and does what others can’t. About this role: Variety: No two weeks look exactly the same. You’ll manufacture everything from prototype R&D components to production parts used in machines exported globally. Ownership: Take each job from engineering drawing through to finished, inspected component. Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm, with flexibility where practical. Overtime: Available and encouraged for those who want it. Our workshop includes: Current Machine Shop • Okuma 3-axis CNC machining centres • Okuma 4th-axis CNC machining centres • CNC turning capability • Manual mill, lathe and surface grinder Arriving Before End of October • Siemens-controlled Horizontal Pallet Machining Centre • Siemens-controlled 5-Axis Machining Centre • Siemens-controlled Mill/Turn Centre • Siemens-controlled gantry CNC Mill with 1.6m x 2.5m table This investment represents a major expansion of our machine shop capability and creates an exciting opportunity for the right person to help shape the future of manufacturing at KANDO. You’ll also work with SolidWorks for CAD and Fusion 360 for CNC programming, giving you the opportunity to influence setups, tooling and machining methods, not just operate the equipment. Why this role is different: You won’t be stuck running the same job on repeat. You’ll be part of a tight, talented crew who design, test, and machine unique parts for constantly evolving machines, from our world-class safety bandsaws to new concepts rolling straight out of R&D. This is where machining meets real engineering collaboration. If you like solving problems, improving setups, and having your ideas actually listened to, you’ll fit right in. As KANDO continues to grow, we’re exporting to more countries than ever before and investing heavily in people, systems, and manufacturing capability. This isn’t a maintenance hire. It’s an opportunity to join a business on a steep growth trajectory and help build what comes next. Who you are: • Experienced CNC machinists, programmers and senior setters are encouraged to apply • Proven capability and attitude matter more than years served • Confident working independently and mentoring others • Obsessed with precision and proud of craftsmanship • Proactive – you don’t wait for instructions to improve a process • Team player who brings ideas, not ego Why you'll love KANDO • You’ll work on machines that make a difference, combining smart mechanical design, high-end machining, and integrated machine vision systems • You’ll be part of a team that values creativity, trust, and craftsmanship • We’re improving constantly, from better tool systems to smarter fixturing, and we want you involved in that evolution We give machinists the space, tools, and respect they deserve. No micromanagement. No production-line boredom. Just precision work, collaboration, and pride in what you make. If you’re ready to do the best work of your career on machines that are anything but ordinary, we’d love to hear from you. Join KANDO. Build something that lasts.
