About the Role As our 5-Axis CNC Machinist & Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating advanced CNC machinery to manufacture precision-engineered components to tolerance. You will play a key role in ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced environment where initiative, versatility, and attention to detail are highly valued. Key Responsibilities CNC Programming & Manufacturing Develop, edit, optimise and prove-out CNC programs for complex 3-axis and 5-axis machining operations Program, set and operate CNC mills and machining centres Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters and machining strategies Conduct first-off runs and make program adjustments as required Improve machining efficiency through cycle time reduction and tooling optimisation Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications and tolerances Manufacture components to specification while meeting productivity and quality targets Quality & Inspection Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and CMM equipment Ensure all work meets customer and company quality requirements Maintain accurate records and job documentation Workshop Support & Continuous Improvement Assist with manual machining operations where required Support turning, milling, assembly and finishing activities across the workshop Help maintain a clean, organised and efficient work environment Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity and workflow Support team members and assist where priorities shift to meet customer requirements About You We are looking for someone with strong technical capability, but just as importantly, the right mindset and attitude.
