We are a well-established commercial shopfitting and joinery manufacturer based in Mount Maunganui, delivering high-quality bespoke joinery throughout New Zealand. Our projects cover a broad range of architectural and interior design requirements and many of our clients are large multi-national retailers. We are looking for an experienced shopfitting/joinery Spray Painter to take ownership of our finishing department and become an integral part of our production team. This is an autonomous role and would suit someone who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes, works well independently, and enjoys being responsible for the day-to-day operation of the spray booth. Weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines. As our Spray Painter, you will be responsible for: Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling & masking and spraying of commercial joinery to a high-quality. Managing the daily operation, cleanliness and maintenance of the spray booth and associated equipment, whilst maintaining health & safety requirements. Ordering paints, consumables and finishing products to ensure stock levels are maintained. Working closely with our production team to meet project deadlines. Ensuring all work meets our quality standards and client expectations. The successful candidate will have: Minimum 3 years commercial spray painting experience in joinery, cabinetry or similar manufacturing environment. Knowledge of New Zealand health and safety requirements relating to hazardous substances, including the safe handling, storage & disposal of spray painting products. Can read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications to understand finishing requirements. The ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and adapt to changing production schedules and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute as part of a team.
