Work on some of Auckland’s best boats Auckland Marine Electrical is a highly regarded marine electrical business. We work on high-end motor yachts and powerboats throughout Auckland and further afield. Our work includes major electrical refits, marine electronics upgrades, digital switching systems and engine repowers integrating new equipment with existing wiring systems. We’re looking for a Marine Electrician to join our team. About the role You’ll work on a variety of interesting marine electrical projects, including: · AC and DC electrical systems · Battery and charging systems · Marine electronics and digital switching · Fault finding and diagnostics · New installations and repairs · Engine repowers and system upgrades · Electric-over-hydraulic systems · Basic mechanical and fabrication work Marine electrical experience would be ideal, but it’s not essential . This could suit a registered 230V electrician looking for a change from residential or commercial work, or an automotive electrician wanting to move into the marine industry. What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who: · Has strong electrical and fault-finding skills · Takes pride in quality workmanship · Can work independently and as part of a team · Communicates well with customers and colleagues · Is practical, reliable and solution-focused · Is keen to learn and develop their marine electrical skills Experience with Mastervolt, Victron, CZone, Raymarine, Simrad, Furuno or Garmin would be an advantage, but training and upskilling opportunities are available for the right person.
