Automotive Painter – Ashburton, Canterbury Bus & Truck Bodyworks 2023 – Ashburton, New Zealand We are looking for an experienced Automotive Painter / Commercial Vehicle Painter to join our busy team in Ashburton, Canterbury. About the role Full-time, permanent position Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week Pay rate: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience and skills Occasional weekend work may be required, depending on workload and customer deadlines Varied work across commercial and recreational vehicles You will work on a range of vehicles, including: Trucks and heavy vehicles Buses Caravans Motorhomes Commercial vehicles Your duties will include vehicle preparation, sanding, masking, priming, colour matching and professional spray painting to a high standard. About you We are looking for someone who: Has solid minimum 2-3 years' experience as an automotive or vehicle painter Has experience preparing and painting large or commercial vehicles Takes pride in producing a high-quality finish Has excellent attention to detail Can work independently and as part of a team Is reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious Has good communication skills Holds relevant trade qualifications Holds a current driver's licence or is able to obtain one if required Is physically capable of carrying out the duties of the role Is willing to work occasional weekends when required Is willing to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, where required What we offer $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience and skills Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week Full-time, permanent employment Varied and interesting painting work Supportive team environment Opportunity for long-term employment in New Zealand Work in Ashburton, Canterbury, with easy access to Christchurch and the wider South Island International applicants Overseas applicants with relevant experience and qualifications are encouraged to apply.
