Maintenance Builder / Handyman

Maintain Your Property (MYP) is seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Builder to join our growing team. We're looking for a practical, self-motivated person who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys a varied workload. This role starts as part-time, but we're a growing business and expect the hours to increase over time for the right person. About the Role: This is a hands-on role working across residential properties throughout the Wellington region. No two days are the same, with tasks ranging from minor repairs through to larger maintenance and renovation projects. Typical work includes: General building maintenance and repairs Residential property improvements Carpentry and handyman work Door, window and hardware repairs Property inspections and maintenance tasks Problem-solving and repair work across a variety of building issues Odd jobs that require practical skills and common sense We're interested in speaking with either: A qualified builder, or An experienced maintenance professional with strong practical skills Ideally you'll also have: Experience in residential building maintenance Strong carpentry and general repair skills The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively A professional and friendly manner with customers Good problem-solving skills A full New Zealand driver's licence Your own reliable vehicle and tools What We Offer: Flexible working arrangements Competitive hourly rates Fuel reimbursement Tool allowance Varied and interesting work A supportive easy-going team environment Opportunity to grow with an expanding Wellington business About Us: MYP provides property maintenance, repair and renovation services to residential rental properties, social housing providers, community housing organisations, property managers and private landlords throughout the Wellington region.
