Workshop Supervisor

We’re in growth mode and looking to expand our team and looking for experienced Workshop Supervisors to join our manufacturing team in Normanby. This is a hands-on role leading a team within our stainless steel fabrication workshop. You’ll be responsible for coordinating daily workflow, supporting the team, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a full time 40 hour per week role, worked over four days Monday – Thursday based on site at our South Taranaki workshop. We’re looking for someone who leads by example, communicates well, and takes pride in producing quality work. About the role In this role you will: Supervise and support workshop staff Coordinate daily production and workflow Ensure health & safety and quality standards are maintained Carry out stainless steel fabrication and TIG/MIG welding Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Conduct quality checks and resolve fabrication issues Maintain workshop equipment and tools Foster strong teamwork and communication across the workshop What we’re looking for 5+ years proven experience in stainless steel fabrication Strong TIG and MIG welding capability Previous supervisory or team leadership experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong communication and problem-solving skills A high level of attention to detail Commitment to workplace health and safety Experience manufacturing stainless steel tanks would be an advantage What we offer At DTS, we are committed to providing a rewarding and supportive work environment for our employees.
