Job Overview: The Senior Executive – Internal Audit will support the Company's internal audit activities by coordinating and working closely with the appointed third-party internal audit service provider. This role is designed to develop internal audit capabilities within the Company through active participation in audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up activities. The incumbent will facilitate audit engagements, monitor the implementation of audit recommendations, and build knowledge of internal audit methodologies, governance, risk management, and internal control practices. Over time, the role is expected to contribute towards establishing and strengthening the Company's in-house internal audit function. Serving a general insurance company with complex IT systems, the ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn internal audit practices, and an interest in IT controls, regulatory compliance, ESG, and relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 9001). The role reports administratively to the Manager and works closely with the Audit, Risk & Management Committee (ARMC) and the appointed external/ internal audit service provider. Key responsibilities: · Coordinate and support the execution of the annual internal audit plan with the appointed third-party internal audit service provider. · Act as the primary liaison between business units and the outsourced internal auditors to facilitate audit activities. · Assist in gathering information, documentation, and evidence required during audit assignments. · Review audit observations and recommendations with management and monitor the timely implementation of agreed corrective actions. · Maintain an audit issue tracking register and provide periodic updates on audit findings and remediation status. · Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and papers for Management and the Audit, Risk & Management Committee (ARMC). · Support the assessment of internal controls, risk management, governance processes, and regulatory compliance across business and IT operations. · Participate in identifying operational, financial, regulatory, and IT risks, and recommend opportunities for process improvement. · Develop knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk-based auditing, and relevant frameworks including ISO standards, ESG, and IT governance practices. · Assist in maintaining internal audit documentation, working papers, audit policies, and procedures. · Support the development and gradual establishment of the Company's in-house internal audit capability by adopting best practices from the outsourced internal audit engagements. · Perform any other duties assigned by Management or the ARMC relating to governance, risk management, and internal controls.
