About the role We are looking for a Safety Supervisor / Safety Specialist to join our team at a leading modified starch manufacturer. The role is responsible for overseeing daily safety activities, conducting workplace inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety rules, regulations, and company standards. Key responsibilities Supervise and monitor daily safety activities and ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations Conduct workplace inspections, safety patrols, and risk assessments to identify hazards Monitor employees and contractors to ensure safe work practices and proper use of PPE Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and follow up on corrective actions Conduct safety training, safety meetings, and safety awareness activities Monitor high-risk activities, work permits, JSA, and risk assessment requirements Support emergency preparedness, emergency drills, and evacuation exercises Maintain safety records and coordinate with departments to improve workplace safety About you Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field Professional Safety Certification 3–5 years of experience in workplace safety, EHS, or a related field Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation techniques Experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams Competent in computer literacy and Microsoft Office applications Good command of English, both written and spoken (TOEIC score of 550 or above) Strong leadership and people management skills Benefits Annual Health Check-up Life Insurance Accident Insurance Provident Fund Medical Benefits Childbirth Allowance Mobile Phone Allowance Uniform Funeral Assistance (for Parents, Children, or Spouse) Training and Other Benefits About us General Starch Limited is one of the leading manufacturers of modified starch, serving both domestic and international markets.
