SOC Manager / Security Operations Lead

Location: Bangkok (Hybrid) Cathcart Technology is partnering with a specialist cybersecurity organisation in Bangkok that is looking to appoint a SOC Manager. You will set the direction for the SOC and lead its evolution into a proactive, threat-informed defence capability. You will own the incident response lifecycle end to end, manage a multi-tier team covering Tier 1 through Tier 3, and act as the senior escalation point for high-severity incidents. Key Responsibilities: Defining the SOC roadmap, long-term goals, and operating model Leading the full SOC team and taking accountability for the quality and speed of incident response Acting as primary lead on major security incidents, cross-functional response efforts with key stakeholders Building and reporting on SOC governance, metrics, and compliance requirements Driving proactive programmes including threat hunting, detection engineering, and red/blue team exercises Partnering with business units to ensure security initiatives support business continuity Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field Experience in SOC leadership or a senior security management role Strong technical knowledge of the incident response lifecycle, SIEM/EDR/XDR platforms, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework Ability to connect cybersecurity risk to business impact and communicate it effectively to stakeholders Strong crisis management, leadership, and negotiation skills Good English communication skills Professional certifications would be advantageous If you are an experienced SOC Manager or senior security leader looking to take full ownership of a security operations function and shape its direction, we would be glad to hear from you.
